Lunatics, Lovers and Poets

The film follows a hard-drinking, struggling novelist who is on the brink of selling his first story. As he faces financial hardship and personal crises, he is haunted by the themes of his writing. To avoid self-destruction, he must confront his estranged father, now an alcoholic and homeless, living in a Shakespearean-like scenario. His girlfriend Maria demands commitment or threatens to leave him for another woman, while his best friend and roommate Micky prepares to move out and marry. As he strives to finish his story, the novelist hopes to resolve a secret that might alter his fate.
